The 9th & final round of Czech Open series took place last weekend. The race was supposed to be in Radotin, but with some heavy rains in the last 2 weeks most of the Czech tracks were impassable - the only club that again managed to do impossible was in Kolin, thank you very much!
We arrived to the track on Saturday morning (on Friday home club still worked on the track) and had a short practice. As conditions were pretty similar to the ones last - wet mud, I used what I learnt last week and changed few things on my XB8'16.
In qualifications I was struggling a bit, but managed to qualify 2nd as Jiri Mara took overall TQ and Max Gotzl finished 3rd after qualifications!
In semifinal I made few errors in the beginning, but then managed to go âścleanâť 15 minutes and won my semi with more than half a lap in front of 2nd driver. However those few mistakes cost me pole position and I started 2nd in the main final. I knew my FX powered XB8â™16 on PL HoleShot 2.0 X3 was working great and I just had to keep cool head in the final.
In the main final Jiri Mara & me got quickly away from the rest of the field and fought for the lead. It was a great battle, but few errors from my side in the end of the run meant 2nd place! 3rd place went to young Max Gotzl!

As this was the deciding round I finished also overall 2nd in the series! Thanks a lot to my parents and all my sponsors for that - next year we will be back to fight for that title!
